Information used to run the service
Depending on how you use the service, we collect your calling number and call records, recorded greetings and voice messages, purchase details, and messages you send to support. Website records may include your IP address, browser, and pages visited.
We use this information to connect calls, manage access and minutes, process purchases, respond to questions, investigate misuse, and meet legal obligations. Please avoid including sensitive personal details in your greeting or messages.
What other callers can hear
Your greeting is shared with callers browsing the line. A voice message is intended for its recipient. Your phone number is not displayed to other callers through the service, but they can learn anything you choose to tell them.
When information is shared
Providers that operate our phone platform, host the website, process payments, or support customers may receive the information needed for those tasks. Call records and audio go to relevant phone-service providers; transaction details go to payment providers; website and support records go to the providers handling those functions.
We may also disclose information when legally required, to address fraud or threats, with your permission, or as part of a business transfer with appropriate privacy protections.
Keeping and protecting information
We keep information for as long as needed for the purposes above, including resolving billing issues, handling safety reports, and meeting legal requirements. We then delete or de-identify it. Access is limited to people and providers who need it for their work. No service can guarantee complete security.
Your privacy choices
Contact support@houstonfreechatline.com to request access, correction, or deletion. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to a portable copy and to opt out of data sales, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. We may verify your identity and retain records where the law permits or requires it.
If we decline a request, we will explain why. You may appeal through the same contact details with “Privacy appeal” in your message. We respond within applicable legal deadlines and do not penalize you for exercising protected rights. Texas residents can also contact the Texas Attorney General about a privacy concern.
Adults only and policy updates
The service is for people aged 18 and older. If you believe someone under 18 has supplied personal information, contact us so we can investigate, restrict access, and remove the information as appropriate under law.
We will update the date above when this policy changes and provide additional notice or obtain consent where required.
